Sweden and the great outdoors

I had almost forgotten how wonderful winter sports can be. Really once you've accepted the fact that outdoors winter clothes cost an arm and a leg and maybe even an extra foot, and once you've agreed to step outside the warm comfort of your home to step outside at -25 to ski..... you realize how fantastic it can be!

It was simply breathtaking, and from what we were told the Swedes, like their other northern neighbors, have a deep passion and respect for eachother and the nature around them. True they are not the "warmest" of people (no pun intended) but the people who were hosting us had nothing but praise for the Swedes saying that everyone is so trustworthy people don't lock their doors, everyone recycles and everyone respects everyone else's property..... It's almost like Laval :)
