It's really hard to get a definate or overall opinion of the people in Vietnam. If you asked me that a few days ago when I had only met the city folks I would say....I'm not too impressed. Asian culture in general, without putting everyone in the same basket, is a little different. They don't touch as much, they definately don't kiss hello, affection is different, their manners are very direct and to be honnest it can seem quite harsh at times.
However, being around Son and M Chung and visiting the rural areas is quite different. People don't push to sell you things, they wave and say hello. I'm happy I got to see this side of things.
