Ok so where were we?

Right the second day we're off to Son La further North where Son has more friends, this time a white Tay minority family. They had a 5 year old son, Xian, whom i just fell in love with. We ran around, went swimming in the river, cooked, played with the dogs.

Xian lived with his parents and grand parents and uncle and aunt in the same house. Basically there's one big living room which tripples as a dining room for meals and bedroom where everyone unrolls their mattress at night.

The kitchen is basic and they cook over fire. The food so far has been amazing, rice or co'm, with lots of meat cooked in together with veggies and all kinds of spices....so good and lots of tofu. "m getting fat, although TCM says I look smashing (blah).
